SCHOOL CREDIT PROGRAMS
A Star Society is now offering two school credit programs for the 2021/22 school year in partnership with Richmond Virtual School and Magee Secondary. Options are available for dancers of all skill levels; from beginner to elite. Please contact us to find a program that’s right for you. The program will be held at Boogaloo Academy.

SCHOOL CREDIT PROGRAM
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Train with Vancouver’s top professionals in Street and/or Classical styles of dance and earn up to 16 credits a year for grades 9−12*. The program runs from September 2021 to June 2022 with classes starting as early as 2:30 pm. *Grade 8 credits available at select schools.
CREDITS
1 course (running 3 hours per week) totals 100 hours and qualifies as 4 credits.
Add more courses to receive more credits−up to 16 per year.
4 Dance Performance + 4 Dance Choreography credits = 8 Fine Art credits
4 credits for PE + 4 credits for Strength/Conditioning = 8 PE credits

ELITE LEVEL DANCE PROGRAM
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Train with Vancouver’s top professionals in Street and/or Classical styles of dance: our elite level curriculum is open to high school students enrolled in Magee Secondary’s SpArts Program. Take academic classes at Magee in the mornings and train at Boogaloo studios in the afternoons.
PROGRAM DETAILS
SPARTS HALF-DAY Train 25+ hrs/wk and receive credit for PE & Fine Arts.
To be considered, students need to be performing at an elite level and have documentation of training schedules and/or videos. Program begins September 2021 through to June 2022, with classes running Monday to Friday between 2 pm–8 pm.
