  • Rowena “RoRo” Cacapit

    Hip-Hop & Contemporary Instructor

RoRo was a self-taught street dancer when she began her career coaching, managing and choreographing at the young age of 14. She currently shares her love of dance as a professional dancer, instructor, adjudicator and choreographer. She continues to direct and choreograph several award winning teams and has won various choreography and scholarship awards, however, awards and winning have never been important to her. Mikhail Baryshnikov’s quote, “I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better than myself.,” is a quote she bases her whole career on and hopes to spread this to all of her students.

Speaking of students… RoRo is “always a student, never a master” and has had the privilege of receiving training from artists such as Tara Jean Popowich (Pharrell, Carly Rae Jepsen) Fikshun (SYTYCD), Flo Master (You Got Served, Step Up 2), Brian Friedman (Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson) Vincent Paterson (Michael Jackson, Madonna) Stacey Tookey (Justin Timberlake, Christina Perri) and many other amazing artists in this craft. RoRo has also had the insane opportunity to do choreography by Kanec (Step Up 3D) and Brian Drake (The Brian Drake Company) as a featured dancer in a music video filmed at the Universal Studios in Hollywood, L.A. She has also just recently finished choreographing and dancing for the second season of a nationwide television show that has not yet aired.

This is all blah blah blah bio mumbo-jumbo by the way and at the end of the day RoRo is just a girl who loves to joke around, laugh, play volleyball, eat sushi, vibe to good music, and of course dance! She hopes to be able to spread her enthusiasm and love for this beautiful art forever. <3
